I am waiting now for the ticket booking and a letter of invitation from DHAN Foundation so I can go ahead and apply for a Visa for India in August. I also have to ensure that I get my Yellow Fever Jab, or else I will apparently have to have some kind of special insect hose-down or 7 day isolation upon arrival in Chenai. Since neither sounds desirable, I guess I will get the jab, since Melanie and I are arriving directly from Zambia, a yellow fever hotspot, this is the protocol.
I am also awaiting news of additional sponsorship or partnering. So far I have not yet been shown the door from the following good people: The Calgary Herald, The Camera Store, and Elements The Patagonia Store. I will be happy with any level of participation from any of the afor-mentioned! Basically I will need to travel light and effectively with my clothing and equipment, this will be a challenge for me, I normally take as much as possible so I have choice, choice, choice! Couple that with a serious dose of indecisiveness and it makes for one heavy bag. So I am wardrobe challenged, I am sure there is some kind of group or program for that isn't there?
